Open Ministry Door

-  Thank you so much for keeping up to date with my mission here in Japan, I regularly feel your prayers for me and have been getting regular breakthrough in my relationship with Jesus, myself, and those here in Japan.
 - On Thursday 4/28 the Lord, I feel, opened a door for a possible future ministry opportunity with some middle school kids that i met at the Tokyo Institute of Technology. These 7 young men love the game of soccer and were a blessing to me by letting me join in a 4 on 4 game with them.
-  After we finished playing the Lord opened the door when they took my email address and one of the players gave me his email in return.     * PLEASE pray that i can contact these young men (through a translator) and continue meeting, playing, and pouring into them. They are very passionate, carefree, and exciting kids, and with the Lord they could do great things for the kingdom and the advancing of the gospel. *

Happy Easter

This past week (Thursday Night), I got to celebrate the Easter holiday with a group of beautiful japanese boys and girls in the english program that I will be helping out with for the next 3 months. These kids had never had an easter egg hunt or even heard of one before. As you can see they were so excited!!! This night was also the first night that they had heard the gospel shared since the start of the english program about a year and a half ago. Please pray for Kotaro (left) Kukumi (Right) and Kengo (below) as well as the rest of the class (about 15 total) that they would come to know the Father's love for them and would grow up to be strong men and women for God. Also pray that through this program families would come to know the Lord and that revival would begin to break out in Japan. God bless you this Easter season. - In the Love of Jesus Christ the Risen Son - Austin Bock

Holy Week

- Hi, my lovely followers and friends, this is, for Christians, the most important of weeks for our beliefs and our faith. The death on the cross AND the resurrection of our savior, beloved, and friend Jesus Christ are where we as followers get our meaning in life, our authority and our power.
- In Japan, Anime or japanese cartoons are a huge staple in the lives of kids, teens, and adults. Recently, I came across a 10 min anime of the death of Jesus on the cross from the eyes of the criminal who was saved because of his belief in Jesus.
- This cartoon is pretty graphic (blood, pain, suffering, heartache) but it really is important to know what He went through for you, what He did that you may return to the purpose/way you were created for, and what he did because He/God loved you soooo much. I hope this blesses you and and gives you a picture, a glimpse of His love for you looks like... link --->Jesus Anime

Prayer Updates

My brothers and sister, I hope that when you read and watch these blogs that you are individually being blessed by the Lord and that He imparts to You the knowledge of Him that He has and is blessing me with. I have some prayer updates that I would really love if you could take to the Lord on my behalf, He is moving so heavily here and I am being blessed by His wonderful presence daily, and would love for Him to continue doing it so I can grow and become the man He wants me to be.

1)ABANDONMENT (John 15:4)- The Lord is, I feel, calling me to an abandonment of all that I have known about Him and completely relearn how to, BE, with Him. His word for me in this season of my life is  "Play" and from this He is teaching me to be less serious, and to just enjoy being in His presence interacting with His people here in Japan.

2) SOFTENING OF MY HEART (Psalm 95:7-9)  - that my heart would not be hardened to the things that the Lord is doing in me and here in Japan. That He would continuously break down the walls in my heart and the heart of the people of Japan and rebuild them on the firm foundation of His love.

3) FINANCES (Psalm 111:5-6, MARK 10: 29-31) - Because of the Lord's blessing in my life with sponsors and  I have paid in full for the education/training portion of the DTS, however as of today I received an update that for the outreach portion I still have a balance of 94,038 yen (1110.18 USD) plus airfare another (1000.00 or so). In total i still owe about 2000.00 USD.
I am not the only one who needs to raise funds either, I am pretty sure that about half of the DTS students still do not have the funds to continue on with the next portion of the DTS. However, we are 100% confident that the Lord will provide for those who are following in His will. If you would like to support my or another's time here in Japan please email me (austin.bock15@gmail.com) and I will send you the instructions on how to do this.

4) CHILDREN'S MINISTRY (Mark 10:13-16) My first ministry time during the education portion takes place tonight and is every Thursday evening for the next 3 months.
I am/feel called to the children of Japan. Because of this i am going to help teach some children in Japan english as well as share the gospel with them. My heart breaks for the children here, they are so beautiful and grow up with "everything" yet don't have the one thing/person that can satisfy them, Jesus Christ. Please pray that this ministry time is fruitful, joyful, and fully rooted in the Lord.
